Bryant Duhon and the team at AIIM Infonomics Weekly bounced around a few ideas for a new contest, beginning with “When did you get it” and then the “A-HA!” contest. According to Bryant, “Eureka, it came to me. So, after a short hiatus, we’re back with another Infonomics Weekly contest: The ECM I finally get it moment (aka, the Eureka contest).”
So what is he talking about? Bryant believes we’ve all had that moment of having something (anything) explained to us and we aren’t quite grasping the concept. You put on your puzzled face, scrunch your eyebrows together and focus and, yet you’re . . . Still. …..Not….. Getting It. . . . What is this person talking about? Then, suddenly, everything gels and comprehension dawns.
This week’s contest is fairly straightforward, describe the moment when the concepts of ECM (ANY part of enterprise content management) sunk in for you. What got you there?
Was it something you read? (Perhaps in this AIIM blogs or the Digital Landfill, Infonomics Weekly, or Infonomics Magazine? )
Maybe it was training you recently took? (AIIM Certificate or Essentials Courses.)
What was the nugget that finally sparked the “A-HA, I now understand” moment?
Your entry can be as long or as short as you like, though we will need some context. Extra points are awarded for creativity. The crackerjack staff of Infonomics Weekly will select our favorites and put them up for a vote next week. Top vote-getter receives an Infonomics Hoodie.
Please send all entries to bduhon@aiim.org with “Eureka” in the subject line. Sadly, the staff of this newsletter can’t share their Eureka moment as it’s not . . . quite . . . arrived yet.
