Since I have started knowing what BPM is I have wondered what next after BPM. Will BPM stand the test of time or will it just disappear. If you enter BPM and SOA and find out the user trends in search engines, you will find out that the SOA ranks higher that BPM in search engine keywords popularity.
I spoke to my COO about this and he instilled my confidence in BPM beating down SOA in the near future in terms of the keywords use and its practical usage.
Since the terms inception BPM's definition has become generic and is used a jargon by people in different fields. The lack of understanding has caused conflicts with the usage of another keyterm i.e. ECM.
I would request the author to post a presentation on comparison between ECM and BPM and help me as well as other users understand the practical differences between ECM and BPM. I rate the presentation posted 5 for its specificity in explaining BPM as a whole.
